About

Hi, my name’s Jemma, nice to meet you!

I’m originally from South Wales but I moved to London over 20 years ago to study drama and acting in a search for fame and success! As you can see that worked out well for me…

I have worked in the hospitality industry for many years and for almost 10 years as a General Manager. I have worked with some of the industries most established restaurateurs, where I led and mentored teams from 25-100 people.

Working with people has always been my passion and I love to watch those I work alongside grow and develop and achieve their full potential, both personally and professionally.

So why am I here you ask? Well, for some time I have felt like there was a gap in my professional life – I felt like I wasn’t achieving my full potential and that I wasn’t necessarily fulfilling all the reasons why I was put here on this earth. After lots of soul searching, I decided to follow my instinct – I enrolled with the Quest Institute where I studied under the founder of Cognitive Hypnotherapy Trevor Silvester.

My aim – To be able to help people lead the lives they deserve. We all pick up a lot of baggage along our individual journeys. But what most people don’t realise is that you don’t have to carry it for the rest of your life!

The work we will do together will give you the tools to move forward and be the you, that perhaps you’d forgotten you could be.

Why Cognitive Hypnotherapy?

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a modern and evidence- based approach to therapy that works towards lasting solutions.

Quest is the only hypnotherapy organisation and training school that has evidence-based research specific to their approach to therapy. Whose inhouse-funded research project is listed with NICE in their research area.

We are not afraid to test the effectiveness of our therapy. We encourage a growth mindset in our clients and in our therapists.

Many hypnotherapy organisations pedal “evidence-based hypnotherapy” as a term that is either piggy-backing general research into the effectiveness of hypnosis, that is not specific to their own approach to therapy or they incorporate CBT as part of their approach and base their claims on CBT research results, again not their own specific approach.

Quest Institute’s therapy research was conducted by a team of QCHPA members using outcome measures that are standard within the NHS. It demonstrated our effectiveness (71%) for treatment of anxiety and depression is greater, compared with other talk therapies such as CBT 42% used within the NHS.
