What Is Incorr Method?

The InCorr Method (Interoceptive Core Reconsolidation), developed by Shauna Quigley, is a gentle, body-centred approach that supports lasting healing and a greater sense of connection with yourself.
Rather than focusing only on thoughts and behaviours, InCorr invites us to explore your unique experience of what arises within the body—sensations, emotions, memories and patterns—without judgement or the need to analyse, change or push anything away.

InCorr can be a starting point for those beginning to explore their inner world, but it can also be deeply supportive for those who have already done a great deal of personal work and still feel that something remains unresolved. Sometimes we can understand our experiences intellectually, yet parts of us may still carry the impact of what has happened. This can leave us repeating patterns of coping, protecting or responding that may have once been necessary, but no longer feel aligned with who we are today.

InCorr offers a gentle way to meet these parts of ourselves with curiosity, compassion and care, helping us develop a deeper understanding of what lies beneath these patterns.

The process is unhurried and unfolds at a pace that feels right for you. By developing greater awareness of the body’s signals and protective responses, InCorr can support the process of reconnecting with yourself and creating space for greater self-understanding, inner safety and a deeper sense of wholeness.

Ultimately, this work is about coming back to yourself—creating the freedom to move forward and become the you that perhaps you’d forgotten you could be.

What Is Cognitive Hypnotherapy About?

If you’re looking for pocket watches and stage antics – I’m afraid that’s not me! We will simply start with a good old chat.

Cognitive hypnotherapy dives into the subconscious workings of our mind and the connections we make to events from the time we are very young. Together we will explore the relationship your conscious and unconscious mind have developed over the years. Whether some of the connections and the meanings that have been attached to behaviour, emotions, environment and your own capabilities may need to be addressed and reframed.

As humans we love patterns….. the brain loves repetition – it means it doesn’t have to work so hard! Very often we can get stuck in negative patterns that are doing nothing to help us move forward and achieve what we know, deep down we are capable of.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a modern approach to therapy – it uses various elements and techniques from therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Traditional Hypnotherapy and Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) – among others. This enables us to create a bespoke therapy plan for every individual tailored to their problem and more importantly – their solution!

Below are some of the key foundations that Cognitive Hypnotherapy are built on and all aspects are taken into consideration during our time together.

Trance Is An Everyday State

Trance is an everyday state that we find ourselves in more often than you might realise. Ever been on the train and wondered how on earth did you reach your stop so quickly. Ever been staring out of the window and lost yourself for a moment? This is trance and it’s a state we all go in and out of many times a day. It is during these times that the subconscious is in the driving seat and we go into auto pilot. If you have developed patterns that hold you back in life and stop you from leading the life you want to – then take a deep breath because you are exactly where you need to be!

Every behaviour has a positive intention

The subconscious is always working to protect you in the best way it knows how….
At times you might find yourself behaving in ways that seem to be damaging to you and are doing you no favours. This could just be where your software needs updating! The subconscious will continue to run the same programmes over and over again unless it is updated.
The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result…. !?

Unique & Tailored Approach

We won’t be coming at you with a book of scripts when you come to see a Cognitive Hypnotherapist. One of the core beliefs is that everyone’s story is unique to them. No one person’s journey is the same as another’s – therefore all the work that we do needs to be tailored to you in order to make it effective and create lasting change.
